Our innovative interconnectivity solutions meet the evolving technical demands of submarine telecommunication, subsea sensing networks and underwater monitoring of long-haul power transmission at the bottom of the world’s harshest ocean environments.

Alongside internal teams, joint venture partners and external customers, our specialist Interconnectivity Engineering Team delivers unique integrated wet plant solutions:

All designed for a minimum service life of 25 years from Global Marine’s head office in Chelmsford.

Ian has over 35 years’ experience in the development and delivery of novel wet plant solutions for the high reliability submarine telecommunication and defence synthetic aperture sonar sectors, spanning both domestic and international projects.  He is a specialist in deep water mechanics, high pressure sealing, optical/power glanding and cable interfacing.

Adrian has over 25 years’ experience in the mechanical design, development and test of subsea telecommunication products, including technical transfer to manufacture. He specialises in CAD, prototyping, 3D printing and hermetic sealing. Previously Adrian’s work have involved R&D activities in the following industries: materials, terrestrial telecommunications, food and defence.

He has particular experience in the development of optical amplifiers for submarine repeaters and optical monitoring and testing systems for the submarine communication  environment.
